Well, this figure is a special edition Miniature supplied by New Wave games for the first Coolmini or Not online contest!

He represents my first go at trying to duplicate an authentic tartan pattern. The tartan is from my own clan, the Thomson or MacThomas clan. It is also my first go at painting NMM (nonmetallic metal) chrome armor, using contrasting shades of light and dark greys for simulating the effect of very shiny metal.

The base was sculpted out of whitestuff. The tartan looks like this:

It is fairly close, but it was too difficult trying to get the thin yellow in there!
