Swamp Troll

 

These Troll figures from Games Workshop are amazing. I find that most of them are really cool but some are too comical looking to be "real" trolls. A figure like this is a pleasure to paint. Tons of great detail and an overall finished look that is outstanding. Naturally, as with all of my "evil" or ominous minis, I used a good black base coat before starting any coloring of any kind.

The scales on the back were relatively easy to do as the raised detail is great. The ugly sores didn't come out as nicely on the scanner as I would have liked but the dark green coloring of the figure gave me no option but to do them purply-pink.

Here is a newer picture, with some shading done to the claws and teeth and some general cleanup and detail work. I don't think the color is quite on with this pic, but it is here anyways ;)
