Sergei Karvalegov

This fellow is a really cool mini by Warhammer. Originally called Heinrich Kemmler, I elected to re-create a new personality with a new color scheme. I hope you like it.

These pictures show the finished miniature except for the base. I have some special plans for that in the near future. Also, apologies for the strange scan line. This mini was great to paint, though he took me almost 4 months to actually finish. I had the green done and the cape was purple instead of blue and he kind of got shelved for a while. I re-evaluated the whole "purple" thing and decided to go with the blue cape and details. The green was also stepped up a few notches with some yellow for the highlighting. Next I went all out on the bat-wings. Starting with a deep brown-red, I worked up to a brighter orange for the high points. There was some molding difficulties on the claws but oh well. I am far from a perfectionist. The skulls were all done with a brownish tinge to the shading as well as grey. The skin smock was also basic flesh color inked with chestnut and carefully blended to perfection. I elected to leave the skin on his face and hands as it was as he would be pale and probably a little dirty, what with working in the cemetary industry and all.

I look forward to getting the base up!
